4 Days Until The Next "All Day Crop!"

I am so excited. I didn't have to work this morning so I have been getting things ready. Some new inventory just arrived yesterday so I am busy putting things away. I will probably start packing up tomarrow. And of course getting my personal stuff together will be the last thing I do. I never know what to take for an all day crop or a weekend retreat. Just to be on the safe side, I pretty much take it all. :-)

Happy the day after Halloween!

I thought I would share a photo of the kids in their costumes. The scary looking one on the left is Jordon, I think he said he was the Gate Keeper. Whoever that is. LOL In the middle is my little angel Jarica that always has to be something scary to. She can't be a princess is most little girls her age. She was a Teal Witch. Last is my nephew Jalen. I have no clue who he was. The kids had a great time Trick or Treating. We just went around my sister's neighborhood like we do every year. The kids get so much candy going on 4 blocks that their isn't a need to go any further. Although the kids would of liked to stay out longer but I think that a Walmart bag filled to the gills with candy is enough. Don't you?

Added Something New

I just added some fun. On the right side you will find a list of very cool scrapbook rooms. I was in awe just looking through them. My list is not done so later today I will be adding some more. Have fun looking through them to get some great ideas. I would like to know your favorites.

Another layout.

This is a layout I did with Jordon. He is playing 6th grade football with the Vinewood Chargers. His last game is on Sun. He is having a blast. He loves playing for this team and he really likes his coaches. Robbi, Nick, Jeff and cousin Chris. Jordon liked that I did a "manly" layout. :-)

The Butter Mess

This is the layout I did. Jarica was almost 3. Dad was suppose to be watching her while I was scrapbooking. You know men while they are watching tv? :-) Of course I had to take pics of the mess she made. She said she thought it was lotion. LOL

MIA

It has been awhile since I last posted. I have been very busy. The retreat went really well. I had a blast. I got 20 pages done. :-) My sister Tammy went with me and she scrapbooked 30 pages. Funny thing is, she has never scrapbooked before. Her pages are awesome!!! We are both looking forward to the next one in April.

I hosted an All Day Crop this past Sat. and had 15 ladies attend. They had such a great time and asked when the next one is. We have the date Nov. 17th planned. I can hardly wait.

I will post some pics of the layouts I did a little later.

All Packed Up

I am packed and ready to go. Do you think I have enough stuff? Actually that is only a picture of the "Who Gives A Scrap?" store. I still have to pack all my personal stuff so I can work on my own scrapbooks. I will post pics when I get back on Sun. afternoon.

8 More Days

I am so excited. Just 8 more days to go before the retreat. I got in some more supplies on Tuesday and have 2 more orders coming by Monday. I am busy getting things ready. I have no idea what I am taking as far as my personal stuff. I usually take to much. I have to streamline this time because my sister is coming with me.

Today I am figuring out creative ways to display my stuff. I have this really cool rack that I bought from a friend that holds alot of stuff and don't take up too much room. I get 2 tables to display stuff but I don't know if I am going to have enough room. LOL I am having a table dedicated to "Ala Carte" embellishments. From brads to flowers to bottlecaps to eyelets. Well, I better get back to work. :-)

My Rock Star

We wen to the Fair again last night and had a good time. We did a little walking around. Not everything we had planned though. Me and my sister like looking at all the exhibits. We did not get to that. We did see the Petting Zoo. LOL Jarica's favorite. My favorite is the food. This time with my wisdom tooth coming out during the Fair I wasn't really up to eating. But I did. The first night I had a Pass Key. It's restuarant that has been around since my mom was a teenager. She use to car hop their. They are famous for their sausage sandwhich's. The second time we went I had a hamburger that wasn't that great. It was small and plain. LOL Last night I had a huge hamburger. It had everything on it except lettuce and including Pueblo Green Chile. Yummy!

We got to see Love 45 again. They are so awesome. I don't really care for rock music but for them I will make an exception. :-) Jordon got to sing again. I think he was a little scared this time. Sat. night he really didn't have time to think about it because he didn't know he was singing. This time he looked nervous. Or at least that's how we saw it. He messed up on a part but we didn't talk about it. LOL I took my video camera and taped him. It actually came out. I am not the greatest with electronics. Check out Love 45 @ http://www.love45.com/. Listen to "So Loud". It's my favorite. So is "Superhero".
The Band:
The one on the left is the drummer Jimmy Messina, 2nd is Danny Elster (this is Jarica's b/f), 3rd is Mick Shivers and on the end is Paul Trinidad Jr.. Paul is my bil's cousin.
P.S. I wish I knew how to put the video of Jordon on my blog.

Colorado State Fair

The State Fair is town. My sister and I took the kids last weekend to ride the rides. We went again Saturday night. Jordon, his dad, my nephew went to see "The All American Rejects". Whoever they are. LOL While they were watching the concert, me and my sister and Jarica went to see "Love 45". They are group out of Denver. My bil's cousin is a guitarist in the band.

(A little recap)

The first time I got to see them was 4 years ago when they played at my nephews graduation. They are really good. Since then we have seen them around and Jordon leared their songs. My bil had a suprise Birthday Party for my sister's 40th and they played. They asked Jordon if he would sing with them. They were really suprised how well he sang. That was 3 years ago. My sister's friend hired them for her 40th Birthday also and of course, Jordon got to sing again.

Saturday Love 45 played at place at the Fair called the Ample Theatre. It is a place where they actually play for free. Their is a big grass area that is really cool. After The All American Rejects concert they met us at Love 45. Jordon was so excited because they asked him to sing with them. This was the biggest crowd that he has sang in front of ever. The audience was awesome. They screeming for Jordon and taking pictures of him on their cell phones. LOL They play again tonight. I wasn't going to take him because it was a day where I go with my mom and sister to walk around but he really wants to go again. This time I am taking my video camera. I hope I know how to work it. LOL Here are a couple of pics. One with Jordon singing and the other is with 2 of the guys after the concert with Jordon and Jarica.

Wisdom Tooth

I promised myself I was going to keep this blog to a minimal on the personal level. I planned on spending alot more time scrapbooking and posting my work. I am so far behind it's not even funny. Every weekend I say this is it, I am scrapbooking, don't bother me. LOL Sat. morning Jordon had his first football game, and lost. :-( That afternoon I had 3 teeth worked on along with having my last wisdom tooth pulled out. Here it is, 2 days later and I am still in pain. My lower right side is still swollen and now bruised.

Last night we took the kids to the Colorado State Fair to ride the rides. I didn't really want to go but figured this was the only time that worked out with our schedule. The kids had fun so that made me happy.

Winter Park Colorado

I am so excited. In 23 days I will be headed to Winter Park Colorado for a Scrapbooking Retreat weekend. Boy do I need it. "Who Gives A Scrap?" will be Vending there. The last time I went was 2 years ago. I had so much fun. I have the opportunity to go again so I am taking it. LOL We are in the process of bringing in new products from some great company's. I can hardly wait.
My sister will be coming along this time. I am thrilled about this. One, she wants to work on a scrapbook for my niece Chelsi who will be graduating in 2 years and two, I don't really know anyone that well that will be their and three, I don't have to drive. :-)
Once I get the store ready, I have to figure out what I will be working on once I get there. Hopefully the store will keep me really busy. :-)

Football

Here is a picture of Jordon on his second day of playing football. I didn't get one on the first day because he really didn't look like a football player. LOL We were told not to get pants or a jersey but it seemed like everyone on the team had theirs. His dad went that night and bought him pants and a practice jersey. He is the smallest one on the team. Their are some just as small, but not as scrawny. LOL He practices 3 times a week and he said it is brutal. His 23 y/r cousin Chris is one of his coaches. I thought they wouldn't be to rough on him, but I thought wrong. Poor kid was dying yesterday. He still likes it but he is not use to getting tackled from anyone else but his cousin Jalen. :-)

First Day of School

Here are the kids on their first day of school. Do they looked thrilled or what? I think Jarica was kinda of scared but she didn't show it. She'll do great since she was in all day kindergarten last year.

I sent Jordon off the where his class lines up and told him I would be their in a bit. I waited with Jarica for awhile while her class lined up and then back to Jordon. His class was already in their room. I went in and told Jordon to have a nice day and his friends all laughed. I think I embarressed him. His teacher is Mr. Shue. He is the best teacher ever. Jordon had him last year. We are so excited that he moved on up with his class. Mr. Shue also commented on the scrapbook I made him last year of the class. He said he showed it off and everyone this summer and they loved it to. I told him I don't know how I am going to "Out do it" for this year. He told me to get started now. LOL

I went back to see Jarica in her room and she looked so cute just sitting their in her little desk. I didn't take a picture with them and the teacher. I will have to get their early this afternoon and get one. :-)

Locks of Love

I took Jarica for a haircut Saturday. Does she look different or what? She don't look like my baby anymore. LOL A couple of months ago I asked her if she wanted to cut her hair and give it to Locks of Love and she said "No"! It took me a month to finally convince her that she should at least think about it. All of a sudden she said "yes mom, I do want to cut my hair and give it to Locks of Love". I was so happy that she decided to do it. I told her we would cut it right before school starts. Well, school starts tomarrow so it had to be done. I was kinda sad to see her hair go but I know it will be going to a good cause. To my suprise we cut off 14 inches. I knew we had to have at least 12 inches for it to be useable. Her dad was also sad but happy for her. His first thought was, "You look like Dora". That didn't make her happy. LOL

School Starts in 1 week

I can't belive how fast the summer went by. It seems just like yesterday we were celebrating the last day of school. LOL We will end this with Jarica playing her last t-ball games the week school starts. She had so much fun. I will post pictures soon.

Jarica is really excited to get back to school. She will be in the 1st grade. She is sad that she won't be with all of her friends. I just tell her that she will make new ones. And I am sure she will.

Jordon is happy to. He just don't express it like Jarica does. He is excited about getting to play soccer for his school this year. He will also be playing football which I am not happy about. I would rather him play flag football but he doesn't want to. What's a mom to do?

All our school shopping is done. I am so happy to get that out of the way. It's pretty fun going from store to store to get all the good sales. Just like Black Friday. LOL My favorite shopping day.

Hello

This is my first post. I hope I am doing this right. LOL
